Responsibilities: | The role involves building and managing the Mining One office in Ghana. This covers the following: Oversee the financial performance of the Ghana Mining One group; Overall business development and growth of Mining One (i.e. build Ghana staff base);Seeking new business opportunities and looking at other areas in which to expand; andMarketing and promotion of the Mining One services which will include developing a marketing strategy for Ghana that aligns with the overall Mining One business strategy.Oversee the human resource aspect of the Ghana Mining One group;Provide a high level of leadership and management to all Ghana staff;Maintain an organisational focus on strategic goals;Liaise with staff at all levels;Conflict resolution;Monitoring and review of staff performance;Implementation of business and operational planning as set out by the Board; andPromotion of Mining One’s Quality Management System.Oversee the technical performance of the Ghana Mining One group;To complete the tasks and responsibilities of a Senior Mining or Geotechnical Engineer;Ensuring the technical work is to the highest quality and providing technical advice to the mining group when needed;Write and review of technical reports;Mentoring of Ghana staff;Recruiting and helping to provide a suitable career path for the local geotechnical/mining engineers in Mining One;Submission of papers and attendance at conferences;Develop and maintain client relationships at all levels; andInteraction with others in Mining One, particularly the Ghana based personnel and other mining engineers/geotechnical engineers in other offices. |
